You don’t need a law degree to create a great estate plan. You just need a guide who will listen, explain things clearly, and give you options that make sense for your life.

Here’s how I help:

Wills and Trusts

Want to make sure your assets go to the right people, without court delays or family fights?

I’ll help you:

•Write a will that’s clear and enforceable

•Set up a revocable living trust to avoid probate

•Create a backup plan for kids or vulnerable family members

•Make updates when your life or goals change

Don’t leave your family guessing. A well-crafted plan gives them clarity—and peace of mind.

I can help you:

•Set up asset protection trusts

•Separate high-risk assets from safe ones

•Protect inheritances for children and grandchildren

The question is—who? And will they know what you want?

I’ll prepare the legal documents that:

•Name someone you trust to manage your finances or health care

•Give doctors and banks the authority they need to work with your agent

•Keep your family from arguing or guessing in a crisis

You stay in control—even when you can’t speak for yourself.

Special Needs & Charitable Trusts

Do you support a loved one with disabilities? Want to leave money to a cause you care about?

I’ll guide you through options like:

•Special needs trusts (to preserve benefits)

•Charitable remainder or lead trusts (to support nonprofits while reducing taxes)

•Inheritance planning for blended families or second marriages

Your values and goals deserve to outlive you.

Asset Protection in Ventura County

If you own a business, rental property, or a practice, one lawsuit or judgment can reach assets you spent decades building. I help Ventura County families and owners put lawful structures in place before trouble arrives, because the time to protect assets is long before a claim is filed.

Asset Protection FAQs

When is it too late to protect my assets?

Asset protection has to be done in advance. Once a claim, lawsuit, or judgment is already on the horizon, moving assets to dodge that specific creditor can be undone as a fraudulent transfer, so the planning only works when you put it in place while the skies are clear.

Does a living trust protect my assets from creditors?

No. A standard revocable living trust is a probate-avoidance and management tool, not a shield, because you keep full control so your creditors can still reach those assets. Real creditor protection comes from other structures, such as certain irrevocable trusts, business entities, and proper use of exemptions and insurance.

Can an LLC protect my rental properties?

Often, yes. Holding rental or business property in a limited liability company can keep a lawsuit tied to one property from reaching your other assets, if the entity is set up and maintained correctly. The protection breaks down when owners commingle funds or ignore the formalities, so the paperwork has to be respected.

Is asset protection the same as hiding assets?

No, and the distinction matters. Legitimate asset protection uses lawful structures put in place openly and ahead of any claim, while hiding assets to defeat a known creditor is fraud that courts can reverse. Done right, it is simply prudent planning, not concealment.
