Ozzy Osbourne’s Estate: What’s Public About His Will and Net Worth
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at 76, his family said. Little about his will or estate is public as of October 2026. I found no report from AP, Reuters, the BBC or the New York Times on what his will says, no court record of its terms, and no reliable net worth figure.

When did Ozzy Osbourne die, and who survives him?
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at age 76, his family announced in a statement reported by Sky News and AFP.
The statement read, “He was with his family and surrounded by love.” No cause of death was given. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their children Aimee, Kelly and Jack, plus two older children, Jessica and Louis, from his first marriage, according to the report published by a Scripps station.
Did Ozzy Osbourne have a will?
I couldn’t confirm it. As of October 2026 I found no report from AP, Reuters, the BBC or the New York Times, and no court record, that says whether he left a will or what it says.
Websites and tabloids describe specific bequests to his wife and children. I couldn’t trace those to the will, a court record or a major outlet, so I’m leaving them out.
What was Ozzy Osbourne’s net worth when he died?
No reliable figure exists: I found no estate inventory, court filing or report from AP, Reuters, the BBC or the New York Times that gives one.
Net-worth websites publish numbers, and some describe them as a joint figure with his wife, Sharon. I’m not citing them because they don’t trace to a court filing or an appraisal. Estimates vary because no estate inventory or probate figure has been published, and a website’s estimate and a court’s valuation measure different things.
As for where the money went under the will, I couldn’t confirm that from a court record or a major outlet, so I’m not saying.
Why is so little public about Ozzy Osbourne’s estate?
In England and Wales, probate records are searchable online about 14 days after probate is issued, according to GOV.UK, and some of those records include the will.
GOV.UK also says not all probate records contain a will, and that a copy of a record ordered online costs £16. I haven’t pulled his record, and I haven’t seen any report of what it shows.
What this means for your own plan
I’m not drawing a conclusion about Ozzy Osbourne’s plan. The reporting does raise three points to check in yours:
- Name your executors and a backup, and tell them where your documents are. See what an executor does and whether you can remove an executor in California.
- If you own property in more than one state or country, the rules of each place can apply. See ancillary probate in California and estate planning for out-of-state property.
- Decide whether you want your plan to be public. A will filed for probate is part of the court record, and a funded trust works differently. See will versus living trust and trust funding.
